History of Locke Family Medicine
 Before
Locke Family Medicine 1991-1999
Karen and Kelly Locke graduated
from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Kansas City, Kansas in 1991.
After graduating from the Eau Claire Family Practice Residency (Eau Claire, WI)
in 1994, Kelly served 5-years as a U.S. Air Force Family Physician in Texas and
Germany. Karen offered her skills at the Base as a civilian Family Physician. In
1999, Kelly and Karen moved from Germany to join Midvalley Family Practice in
Basalt, Colorado.

Locke Family Medicine(LFM) 1999-2007
In 1999, Karen and Kelly
joined Midvalley Family Practice which later became Alpine Medical Group of the
Roaring Fork Valley. For 8-years, Karen and Kelly enjoyed their time with AMG
and growing their practice. In 2007, AMG dissolved which gave Karen and Kelly
the opportunity to set up Locke Family Medicine.

Family Medicine 2007 and beyond
Locke Family Medicine started seeing patients on
August 20, 2007. With the formation of LFM, Karen and Kelly have taken their
approach to medical care to an even more personal level where you will know your
doctor as well as they will know you. Locke Family Medicine will continue to provide excellent
Family Medicine services to the people of Basalt/El Jebel, as well as, Glenwood
Springs to Aspen!
