Vas Deferens Pathology Evaluation -- ~$200-500 (depending where it is done)
The pieces of vas deferens that are removed during the vasectomy will be kept at the office until we are sure the procedure worked and you are sterile. If there is ever concern that the vasectomy isn't working, the tissue will be sent to a pathologist for examination under a microscope. The pathologist will confirm that the tissue removed was truly from the vas deferens. This pathology evaluation is not routinely required. |
